ROTARY CLUB OF TEMA COMMUNITY 25 PARTICIPATES IN POLIO NATIONAL IMMUNIZATION DAYS
As part of Rotary District 9104’s commitment to eradicating polio, the Rotary Club of Tema Community 25 actively participated in the second round of the Polio National Immunization Days from November 21 to 24, 2024. Our club joined forces with Ghana Health Service teams to ensure polio vaccines reached rural and underserved communities. Led by our Club President, Rotarian Prince Afetor, we embarked on a mission to Ocansey Kope and surrounding communities in Ada.
These areas, often hidden and remote, were the focus of our outreach. We worked tirelessly to ensure every child had access to life-saving vaccinations. On the final day, our efforts culminated at Azokakope, an island community in Ada.
Here, we witnessed the impact of Rotary’s “Service Above Self” motto in action as we brought hope and health to those who needed it most. Through determination and teamwork, we successfully conducted the vaccination exercise, touching lives and making a lasting impact in the fight against polio. Rotary continues to demonstrate the power of collective action for global good.
Together, we are making a difference—because Rotary is good.
