DISTRICT GOVERNOR NANA YAA VISITS ROTARY CLUB OF ACCRA-CANTONMENTS EAST

Rotary Club of Accra Cantonments East

Founded on 21st September 2021, the Rotary Club of Accra Cantonments East is a vibrant club of over 50 passionate members who live by the Rotary motto, “Service Above Self.” The club is driven by a shared commitment to improving lives within the local community while fostering fellowship, fun, and impactful service.

Through its diverse initiatives, the club continues to bring together professionals and changemakers who believe in creating lasting impact, one project at a time.

A Message from the District Governor: “Unite for Greater Impact”

During the visit, the District Governor commended the club for its impressive record of impactful projects and the meaningful initiatives planned for the Rotary year.

The DG urged members to continue uniting for good, emphasizing that collaboration is key to sustaining long term community transformation.

In a moment of pride, the DG Rotarian Nana Yaa Poku Siriboe, Immediate Past District Governor, Rotarian Florence Maame Hagan and Assistant Governor Maria Awuraba Poku presented a Recognition Citation from Rotary International to the club for its substantial contribution to the Polio Plus Fund during the 2024/2025 Rotary Year.

They encouraged members to maintain their generous support for The Rotary Foundation, reinforcing Rotary’s global fight against polio and its commitment to service.

Honoring Generosity: Pinning of 7 Paul Harris Fellows and 1 Benefactor

A highlight of the evening was the recognition of seven Paul Harris Fellows (PHF) and one Benefactor for their outstanding contributions to The Rotary Foundation.

  • President Eugene Ohene

These Rotarians were celebrated for their generous contributions of $1,000 each to the Annual Fund, while President Eugene Ohene received additional recognition as a Benefactor for donating $1,000 to the Endowment Fund.

Their dedication exemplifies the spirit of giving that drives Rotary’s global mission.
