NYAMEDUA, Ghana (6 December 2025) – True service is not a one-time act, but a continuous commitment. This spirit was beautifully reflected when members of the Rotary Club of Accra Adjiringanor returned to the Nyamedua Children’s Home, building on years of partnership with a timely donation of essential furnishings and supplies.
The visit, filled with laughter and play, was also a continuation of the club’s attentive support. During a 2024 project that refurbished the home’s play area, Rotarians identified an urgent need for baby cots and storage. This year, the club answered that call, donating three sturdy baby cots, two clothing drawers, and a generous assortment of food and sanitary items—all valued at GH₵10,000.
The donation arrived at a crucial moment, coinciding with the recent arrival of two new infants at the home. Administrators expressed profound gratitude for the practical and immediate support, which ensures safer sleep and better organisation for the children in their care.
The Home’s leadership also reflected on the transformative impact of the club’s ongoing engagement over the past five years. They highlighted how the previously renovated play space has evolved into a vibrant, multi-purpose learning environment. “The colors, artworks, numbers, and letters on the walls are more than decoration,” one administrator shared. “They are tools that help our children learn and grow in a joyful setting.”
In a heartfelt expression of thanks, the home presented the Rotary members with a beautifully crafted citation. The gesture profoundly moved the visiting Rotarians, who left with full hearts, reminded once again that sustained service generates ripples of positive change.
The day reaffirmed a fundamental Rotary principle: that by listening to community needs and responding with both compassion and action to offer assistance and help build foundations for a brighter future.
