ZONGO BOOTCAMP

One of our mandates as Rotarians in the world is to create opportunities and sources of livelihood to curb youth unemployment and strengthen local entrepreneurs particularly women, in impoverished communities.

In line with this goal, the Rotary Club of Accra-East organized a 5-day vocational entrepreneurial skill training for 40 women in Madina from Monday, 30th September to Friday, 4th October 2024.
The training areas include Beads and Fascinator making, Pastries and local drinks making, and soap/detergent making.

By providing this readily available, demand-driven entrepreneurial training, not only are we empowering these young people with an economic life skill; but we are also presenting them with the opportunity to be their own bosses, become self-reliant and provide employment to other people.
